Hello!
My Name is Katharine Wile. I started with Family Matters in October of 2022 as the Family Home Child Care Consultant in Lunenburg County.
I Graduated from NSCC in 2009 with an Honours Diploma in Early Childhood Education and then in 2022 with an undergraduate Bachelor of Arts Child and Youth Study degree awarded with Distinction from Mount Saint Vincent University.
I have worked in a number of roles in Licensed Childcare Centers: Preschool Teacher, Daycare Cook, Afterschool Program Lead Facilitator, Assistant Director and Director of Childcare.
I have a lot of experience working in a quality, child experience led, play based curriculum. I have a solid understanding of the Early Learning and Child Care Regulations, and the administrative requirements of running a Childcare business.
I am a mom to a preteen son, wife and cat mom. I enjoy creating all sorts of things whether it be building things around the home, gardening, crafting. I love Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Marvel. I also volunteer within my community serving on the Judo Nova Scotia Board as Registrar and the Lunenburg County Judo Club as Vice President and Treasurer. I am currently a Yellow belt who will eventually become a coach.
As a consultant I am here to support you in your business endeavor of running a Licensed Family Home Child Care. I will help you through Monthly Support Visits, be a resource and help you to provide an awesome program!
If you have any questions don’t hesitate to get in touch and i’ll be delighted to help you!
