Expecting?

Family Matters has a variety of great programs and services for new mothers (and new again mothers). Please see below for more info on some of these programs, also feel free to contact the centre for more info on other programs.

Doulas:

A doula is an assistant who provides various forms of non-medical and non-midwifery support (physical and emotional) during childbirth.  A doula works with the woman in labour and any other support networks she may have. Family Matters is happy to be able to provide this service starting in 2009. Please contact Wendy Knowlton for more info.

Breat Pump Loan Program

Family Matters offers a breast pump loan service that allows mothers to borrow a Purely Yours Breast Pump for a minimal fee to cover a hygiene kit. Please contact Family Matters or your local public health nurse for further information.
